Mesotherapy is a medical technique that was developed in France in the 1950's and involves injections of natural remedies into problem areas. The remedies that are used are typically a mixture of homeopathic products, as well as a combination of vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants, which are placed just millimetres under the skin, where they have a local as well as generalised effect.
Cellulite is a problem up to 95% of women are struggling with - even slim women can be affected. It is caused by multiple factors, mainly genetic/inherited weakness of the connective tissue, obesity, wrong diet (high sugar/carbohydrates, high trans-fatty-acid consumption), lack of exercise and poor lymphatic drainage.
Mesotherapy is far more effective than application of topical creams or lotions, as those will not penetrate deep enough into the tissues to reach the area where cellulite is present. The remedies in the injections work exactly where the lymphatic congestion and build up of waste products and toxins is creating the unsightly bump, orange peel like appearance of the skin. They work to break up the hardened fibrous tissue that is trapping the enlarged fat cells. The skin and underlying tissue becomes softer and the released fat can be removed by the lymphatic system. Other ingredients help to stimulate new collagen production, improve local blood supply and strengthen and tighten the tissue, resulting in loss of volume and much improved skin appearance.
Mesotherapy is a gentle yet effective therapy, that works in harmony with your body, enhancing lymph flow and circulation while improving toxin and waste removal - contrary to other fat removal techniques like liposuction. Here the lymph flow and vascularisation can often be worse after the operation, which can lead to an aggravation of cellulite.
All remedies used are natural, safe and well-researched. There may be some slight swelling or mild bruising experienced, which normally clears within hours.
Treatment sessions will take 15-30 minutes.
